Dr. Cornelia Boberski

Cornelia Boberski brings along 30 years of experience in material science and process development for the chemical industry. She held positions in Marketing & Sales and New Business Development at Hoechst and lead the Mining Chemical Business globally with Clariant. She obtained a PHD in Experimental Petrology from the Ruhr University of Bochum and worked in research at the IBM laboratories in Yorktown Heights, New York, USA.
Dr. Cornelia Boberski founded innoturn® in 2005; a consulting service offering for evaluation of Business risks and chances from changes in material compliance requirements. innoturn advises companies towards fulfilling the European chemical regulation for example such as REACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemicals), CLP (classification, labelling and packaging of substances and mixtures) and Biocides. The focus lies on the analysis of identification of relevant regulations and directives in Europe and the implementation in the Business process to fulfil the obligations. The identification of new developments on regulations also gives a chance for innovations on new processes and products.


Larry Drumm

Larry Drumm, BSChE, MBA has 35 yearsof experience in the chemical and biotechnology industries. In his professional career, he has held various positions with Eastman Chemical Products Inc.,Eastman Kodak Company, Genencor International, a DuPont/ConAgra Joint Venture, Bio-Technical Resources and with MBI International.

Since 2002, Larry has been actively involved as President of his own consulting firm doing business with companies worldwide in fine, specialty and bulk chemicals as well as the application of biotechnology to the chemical and plastics industries. He has been two-time president of the Commercial Development Association (the Chemical Industry’s Premier Organization for Technology Commercialization), a former member of the Board of the Biotechnology Industry Organization’s Industrial and Environmental Section, and past organizer for the Chemical Industry CTO Summit on Biotechnology co-sponsored by The American Chemical Society and BIO. He was also on the Advisory Board of CLIB 2021 and is now Executive Director of SCD-iBIO. 


Dr. Rainer Höfer

Rainer Höfer is founder of Editorial Ecosiris with consultancy and editorial activities in the domains of Green Chemistry, White Biotechnology, Renewable Resources, Sustainable Development, and Interculturation. 

Rainer Höfer graduated in Chemistry and Biochemistry at the Georg-August Universität zu Göttingen in 1973 with Professor Oskar Glemser. He spent three years at the Technical University of Oran (ENSEP), Algeria, as Maître de Conférences and Directeur de l'Institut de Chimie before joining Henkel in Düsseldorf. With Henkel KGaA and then as Vice President Research & Technology with Cognis GmbH in Monheim he has assumed global research and development, application technology, technical sales service, strategic business development, and technology scouting responsibilities in oleochemistry, polymer chemistry, surfactant and biosurfactant chemistry for the polymerization, coatings, graphic arts, adhesives, engineering plastics, agrochemical, synthetic lubricants, metal treatment, mining, and pulp & paper markets. 


Dr. Joachim Kaysser


Joachim Kaysser is founder and CEO of Artimmun Analytik GmbH, a company providing product marketing and development services in the fields of protein and polymer chemistry, cross boundary material chemistry and chemical biology, mammalian biotechnology, analytical biochemistry and diagnostics.
Dr. Kaysser comes with more than 25 years of experience in business development as well as project and product management. He founded Artimmun after successful career milestones with Boehringer Ingelheim, Genzyme and Serologicals Corporation. 

Dr. Kaysser graduated in organic chemistry and biochemistry and achieved his doctorate at the J.-W. Goethe University in Frankfurt (Germany).


Dr. Manfred Kircher (Chairman)


Manfred Kircher chairs the Advisory Boards of CLIB2021 (www.clib2021.de) and KADIB (www.kadib.de). Based on more than 30 years experience in chemical industry and bioeconomy he works on regional as well as international bioeconomy strategies. 
His career milestones are biotechnological research and development (Degussa AG, Germany), production (Fermas s.r.o.; Slovakia), venture capital (Burrill & Company; USA) and biotechnology partnering and branding (Evonik Industries AG; Germany).  Delegated by Evonik he chaired till 2012 the Board of the Cluster Industrial Biotechnology (CLIB2021 e.V.; Germany) and developed this association of German and international industries, small and medium-sized enterprises (SME), academia and investors to an recognized  organisation for unfolding bioeconomical value chains. 
Manfred Kircher publishes regularly about bioeconomy topics and is a highly regarded advisor and speaker. Currently he is active with BIG-C, the joint bioeconomy initiative of Flanders, The Netherlands and North-Rhine Westfalia in an coordinated approach to improve bioeconomical competitiveness. 
Manfred Kircher has been appointed to the Advisory Board of young companies and steering committees of international bioeconomy programs. He has been certified as a bio-economy expert by the EU-Commission. Manfred Kircher is biologist by training (Goethe-University; Frankfurt, Germany).



Dr. Martin Schnee

Martin Schnee is biotechnology expert combining expertise in science and finances. Since 2010 he is director and partner at Breslin AG (Zurich, Switzerland) and in charge of transactions in Life Sciences (financing/business development, secondaries, technology scouting). In parallel he is co-operation partner with Fairesearch (Kronberg, Germany) since 2006 providing white label research services and is running since 2002 his own company SchneeResearch (Maintal, Germany) as a bank-independent research provider with broad coverage of European chemical, pharma, biotech and medtech companies as well as renewable energy companies.
Martin Schnee achieved his doctorate in chemistry at the Goethe-University Frankfurt (Germany). Later he added the qualification as a Certified Credit Analyst and DVFA Equity Analyst. In 2013 he received the No.1 Stockpicker in Chemicals (Europe) Award (StarMine).


Dr. Thomas Schwarz


Thomas Schwarz is an extremely experienced entrepreneur and serial founder. In 2013 he founded b.value, a company facilitating technology transfer in the field of industrial biotechnology. Since 2009 he is CEO of instrAction GmbH (Mannheim, Germany). This SME focuses on purification technologies for pharmaceutical molecules. 1994-2009 he was co-founder and CEO of bitop AG (Witten, Germany), a company which successfully develops, produces and commercializes active molecules build by extremophile microorganisms forcosmetic and medical applications.

In parallel Dr. Schwarz is since 2007 member of the board of CLIB2021 and since 2014 managing director of this non-profit association which fosters the bioeconomy in the chemical and energy field.

Dr. Schwarz is a biochemist by training who studied at the universities of Cologne, Aachen and Witten in Germany. He is advisor to SME and financial institutions and private lecturer at the Technical University Dortmund (Germany).
